Sludge Screening and Tankered Waste

JIPL is always on the lookout for the most innovative products worldwide and here we bring you our overseas partner CDEnviro’s cost-effective and simple way of dealing with tankered waste. CDEnviro is a company that believes zero waste is possible. CDEnviro has a number of specialities including Sludge Screening & Removal, Tankered Waste Removal, Sludge Dewatering & Removal Equipment.

The use of CDEnviro products will cut costs and clean up sites. These products were specifically designed for rag and wet wipes and are the ideal solution for tankered waste. CDEnviro’s screening technology successfully removes both grit and rag from sewage sludge, sewage screenings and tank cleaning residues, creating segregated, washed stockpiles of grit and rag for reuse or disposal.

The first stage of sewage treatment in a wastewater treatment works (WWTW) is the removal of rag and grit from the energy-bearing liquid effluent. With the advent of energy generation from sludge, the protection of valuable downstream assets has never been so important.

The Solution

The S:Max range of equipment solutions are high-efficiency wet screening systems applied whenever there is a requirement for efficient liquid / solid separation. CDEnviro’s equipment leads the industry overseas in the removal of rag from sludge – either imported or indigenous.

CDEnviro’s solutions bring many benefits to the sludge screening process including:

– Direct Tanker discharge

By processing at the fastest rate possible, with no requirement for a reception tank, tanker assets are optimised and transportation costs minimised.

Maximum Screenings Removal

More than three times the volume of screenings is removed from sludge when compared with the industry average.

– Elimination of blockages

The screens simple design means that whatever type of material is pumped onto the screen, it will process it.  There is nowhere for rag to block within the screening system.

– High processing rate

Due to high-frequency vibrations, the screens can operate up to 77L/s and can comfortably work on high thickness sludge.  This means that the screens can process directly from inter-site tanks, avoiding the need for buffer storage tanks.

– High screenings retention rate

The separation size can be easily modified depending on the application in which the screen is being used. The vigorous nature of the screen ensures that it is virtually impossible for particles larger than the screening size to pass through the screen.

With this sludge screening & tankered waste solutions customers can:

  • Maximise recovery of water
  • Minimise waste volumes
  • Produce a dewatered fine mineral material with a range of further applications

The technology is ideal for commercial operators and councils who process and recycle tankered wastes.

We will be meeting CDEnviro at IFAT in less than 2 weeks – if you have any questions please get in touch immediately so we can discuss your specific requirements.
