This unique mechanical aeration system has been successfully used in industrial wastewater treatment plants for over two decades and is ideal for aerobic wastewater treatment.
One impressive example of INVENT’s technology in action can be found at The Papier- und Kartonfabrik Varel, one of the largest paper mills in Germany with a proud 84-year history. The mill was one of the first in the country to install a biological wastewater treatment plant and invested 280 million euros in 2019 to expand it. The operators ordered 13 HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixing and Aeration Systems with a cage from Erlangen, Germany, to enhance the plant’s capacity and efficiency.
The HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixing and Aeration Systems were installed in stainless steel cages for aerobic wastewater treatment. One advantage of the cage solution is that it can be removed for installation and maintenance and put back in place, even in a filled tank. The HYPERCLASSIC®-Mixing and Aeration System uniquely combines the characteristics of a mixer with those of an aerator, offering flexibility for operation and application. Firstly, it provides sufficient oxygen to the activated sludge during the aerobic process to break down the organic load. Secondly, the aeration tank is mixed homogeneously so that the heavy activated sludge and small particles are suspended.
